The Artists

Luka Coetzee
Cello
Luka Coetzee, born in 2004, won first prize at the International Paulo Cello Competition in Helsinki in 2023. She is a member of the ECHO KLASSIK-nominated LGT Young Soloists and has performed at venues including the Elbphilharmonie, Victoria Hall in Singapore, and the Rheingau Music Festival. She is studying at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar under Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt.

Yukino Kaihara
Piano
Yukino Kaihara is studying at the Universität der Künste with Björn Lehmann. She won the Tokyo Music Competition, amongst other awards, and is supported by scholarships from the Yamaha Music Europe Foundation and the Röhm Akademie. In 2018, she made her debut at Suntory Hall with Ravel’s Piano Concerto. She is in demand internationally as both a soloist and an accompanist.

The Chiesa dei Santi Pietro e Paolo in Ascona, reopened in 2025 after extensive restoration, dates to the 16th century and features frescoes, a coffered ceiling, and a polygonal choir. With its atmospheric setting and excellent acoustics, it is ideal for closing concerts, master classes, and chamber music.
