Next Generation I | Cello Ensemble of the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana

Claude Hauri studied at the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana in Lugano and furthered his training with Raphael Wallfisch, Alain Meunier and Zara Nelsova. He performs throughout Europe, the USA, Australia, and South America, and appears at festivals such as the Venice Biennale. He also teaches at the Torrefranca Conservatory in Vibo Valentia.

The Cello Ensemble of the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana brings together young cellists from the conservatoire in Lugano under the direction of Claude Hauri. Their focus lies on chamber music training and stylistic openness. The ensemble showcases the full range of the cello’s sound – from intimate chamber music to orchestral richness.
